Welcome to Day Four of the Twelve Days of Wellness! This practice is one that I am admittedly still working on. I have read numerous articles and my professor talked about this semester. It is very intriguing to me but I have a hard time putting this into my daily schedule despite knowing the numerous benefits!

What is a mindful reset you ask? It is simply recognizing that when you are working and become overwhelmed, you must step away simply breath or stretch or even go on a walk outside. This helps you in so many different ways:

  • Rewires your brain
  • Helps regulate your flight or fight response
  • Cuts your chances of recurring depression by 50%
  • Improves your concentration levels
  • Makes you happier
  • Decreases your anxiety
  • Can help lower your blood pressure
  • Is a boost to your creativity

These are just 8 science-backed reasons to try a mindful practice today!
