The Story of Anonymous

My client came to me with high blood pressure, heart palpitations, and anxiety. He is attending school and recently started a new job. He eats fast food for breakfast and lunch- he eats lots of bread but tries to eat whole foods for dinner. He experiences gas, bloating with extended belly, and one bowel movement per day after lunch. He sometimes does Crossfit and sometimes plays softball. He drinks 4-6 beers every night with 2-4 cigarettes- (this won’t be changing). My client gets around 9 hours of sleep per night.
The Challenges
My client was seeking help and coaching for his high blood pressure and stress and anxiety. The goals that he and I came up with were to decrease his high blood pressure and stress/anxiety by 2 points by our next meeting.
How We Responded
At our initial client meaning, I was able to gather missing information, clarify any questions, and start to piece together a chronic symptom protocol that included different herbs, nutritional/diet information, supplements and different lifestyle changes to help him lower his blood pressure and experience less stress/anxiety! I started with a Heart Tonic Formula that features Hawthorn, Hibiscus, Dan Shen, Linden flower, and Ginger which would be made into a tincture to take 3 times per day the next appointment. I also suggested a Calming Tea consists of Orange Peel, Chamomile, Lavender, and Oats which should be consumed 2 to 3 times per day. These two would help with supporting the heart while helping with the client’s high blood pressure, lowers anxiety and induces relaxation .
For Nutrition/Diet, I suggested to try and eliminate gluten/processed foods from his diet. This is present in every meal that he consumed for breakfast and lunch which causes inflammation and are full of trans fat. The processed foods could also be messing with his digestive system which is also increasing his anxiety levels. On the weekends, he could meal prep breakfasts and lunches to help break the fast food habit. I also talked to him about consuming healthy proteins (turkey, fish, chicken, beef, and lamb-all organic) and healthy fats (butter, lard, tallow, ghee, duck fat, EVOO, and avocado oil). It would be helpful to consume anti-oxidant rich foods such as berries, parsley, curries, paprika, along with dark green leafy veggies like arugula, dandelion greens, kale, and spinach. Probiotics such as yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, tempeh, kimchi, miso, and pickles which are all examples of fermented foods which will help with the high blood pressure and anxiety. Adding garlic, onions, and paprika liberally to foods will help with his heart health and lower blood pressure.
His lifestyle tweaks included a decrease in her stress and anxiety by practicing yoga and meditation at least 3 times a week. I also talked about making a point to do the Cross Fit work 3 to 4 times per week because the strength training, interval training, and cardio all help decrease levels of tension and stabilize mood. Learn about different breathing techniques to help combat feelings of anxiety such as Box Breathing as this would help with anxiety and high blood pressure. I also suggested that he purchase a blood pressure cuff to monitor his blood pressure at home to see if there are patterns to look at. Then I addressed the elephant in the room: the drinking and smoking. These both have an effect on his high blood pressure- even just one drink- and stress/anxiety.

There were some supplements I suggested he start taking such as Co-Q-10 and Fish Oil/Omega-3s to help with his high blood pressure as well as Magnesium Glycinate to help lessen his anxiety along with a Vitamin D supplement as most people have a deficiency important hormone.
We started with these protocols to address his primary and secondary concerns of high blood pressure, stress, and anxiety. The client was nervously excited to start the long work ahead, but had an overall positive outlook because these were things that he felt he could incorporate into her every day routine but he was adamant about continuing to smoke and drink in the evening to wind down.
The Results
After 30 days, we agreed on a follow-up appointment to check in on how things were going, re-check his ratings of his symptoms and adjust the protocols as needed. The client talked about his struggles with the meal prepping but noted that he was feeling much better and was even saving money by not eating so much processed foods! He appreciated the weekly check-ins and the coaching support through text when he had a question or a concern. He will report back to his medical doctor to do another blood pressure check. He also has made an effort to Overall, the client’s symptoms had decreased by 2 points each so his goals were met and new goals were put into place.
Conclusion
Through tweaks and new systems with herbs, supplements, and eating methods, my client is experiencing a better quality of life. If you would like to see the same results, set up a discovery call with me today here!
